Comfort food recipe: cauliflower mash

Just because you’ve decided to go paleo doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy comfort food on a cold winter night! Instead of potato mash, why not trying to make some delicious cauliflower mash to ramp up the comforting level of your usual steak and salad? Recipe: Ingredients: 1/2 cauliflower, cut up and steamed very soft 1 tbsp olive oil/lard/etc salt white pepper 3-4 cloves of garlic, very finely minced   Instructions: Wash and cut cauliflower into florets and steam until soft. Don’t worry about over-steaming the cauliflower as plenty of moisture is going to make the mashing easier and the end result creamier. Once steamed, measure in other ingredients and mash until smooth and creamy. Serve with pretty much anything – delicious, healthy and so very comforting on a cold winter night! Tip: Cauliflower also works as a rice alternative for curries. ¬†Steam until al-dente. Don’t add any additional ingredients and instead of mashing into a creamy mash, just use a fork to achieve a rougher texture.  ...
